Virtual Library: Includes downloadable and searchable
City Directories 19th Century directories for
Cincinnati and some 19th and 20th Century directories for Norwood, and
downloadable maps.
- Newsdex:
Searchable database of local newspaper citations, including many (but not all)
death notices. To search for a death notice enter "lastname, firstname" in the
Words or Phrase box.
- Card Catalog:
You can search for genealogy related books and microfilms. For a county other
than Hamilton Co., for example, enter "montgomery county ohio genealogy". Note
also you can search on a "family surname" - choose "family surname" from the
dropdown select box next to the Search button.
- HCPC Home Page. For
records search features:

Search: Case, Marriage license, and Mental Health index searches (since
1970s).
- Archived Records Search: Most useful for genealogical
research - Estates/Wills, Guardianships, Marriages, Births, Deaths, and
Naturalizations.
- HCCofC Home Page.
Specifically for genealogy:
- Comprehensive Name Search: Search for cases from Common
Pleas and Municipal Courts. Search results provide case numbers. If you find a
case you are interested in that requires retrieval by the Clerk of Courts use
the Document Request
form. Apparently many 20th Century cases have been indexed but not any 19th
Century cases.
- HCA. Can do
property ownership searches. May be useful for finding/verifying living cousins
or who currently owns an historic church property.
- KCPI Home Page. Site contains a
Marriage License Index for Kenton County marriages. After following the link to
the KCPI Home Page, click on the Public Access button, then the Marriage
License Index button.
- CCC Home Page.
Site contains a Marriage License Index for Campbell County marriages. After
following the link to the CCC Home Page, put your pointer over Marriage Menu on
the left and click on the Inquiry link.
- County GenWebs: These websites
also have a lot of useful information. You can use the Search/Find
feature/button on each site to find possible references to the individuals or
family surnames you are researching.
